GST Advisory in Guwahati

GST advisory is an opinion on how the GST law applies to a specific supply or business model: which rate, whether credit is available, where the supply is taxed, and how to respond to a notice. GBA gives the position with the section and circular it rests on.

The work

  3. Draft replies to notices and represent the business before GST officers
  4. Set up e-invoicing and e-way bill processes correctly the first time

What to bring

  • Sample invoices and contracts for the supply in question
  • GST returns for the relevant periods
  • The notice, if one has been received

Questions

Questions about this service

Direct answers about gst advisory from GBA, Guwahati.

Can input tax credit be claimed on all business purchases?

No. Credit is available only on purchases used for business, where the supplier has filed the invoice in GSTR-1 and it appears in your GSTR-2B, and where the item is not blocked under section 17(5), such as motor vehicles and food in most cases.

How long does a GST notice reply take?

Most notices give 7 to 30 days. GBA needs the notice and the relevant returns immediately to prepare a reply in time; an adjournment can be sought but should not be relied on.
